Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Road-E. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to all users. Violating this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. The Spirit of the Rules
Road-E exists to make the business side of being a working musician easier and less overwhelming. We ask that you use it honestly, respectfully, and for its intended purpose: booking gigs, managing your business, and building your career.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, post, share, or transmit content that:
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive
- Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any person or group
- Contains sexually explicit material
- Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Contains malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage systems
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Scrape or harvest data — Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract venue data, agent listings, or any other content from Road-E for use outside the platform.
- Resell or redistribute directory data — Export, redistribute, or commercialize the venue and agent directory data provided by Road-E.
- Impersonate others — Create profiles or content that falsely represents another person, band, or organization.
- Abuse the messaging or contact features — Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial communications to venues or agents through the platform.
- Circumvent security — Attempt to bypass authentication, gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data, or exploit vulnerabilities in the platform.
- Interfere with service — Overload, disrupt, or damage Road-E's servers or infrastructure, or interfere with other users' access to the service.
- Misuse the platform commercially — Resell, sublicense, or create competing products from Road-E's features or data without our written authorization.
- Use the contract generator for illegal agreements — Generate contracts for unlawful purposes or to facilitate fraud.
- Create fake or misleading reviews or profiles — Post false information about venues, events, or bookings to mislead other users.
4. Responsible Use of Contacts and CRM Data
Road-E's CRM and booking tools give you access to contact information for venues and booking agents. You agree to use this information solely for legitimate booking and professional communications relevant to your music career. You may not:
- Use contact data for purposes unrelated to music booking or professional outreach
- Add contacts to third-party marketing lists without their consent
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk commercial messages to contacts in your Road-E CRM
5. Public Content and EPKs
If you publish a public Electronic Press Kit (EPK) or profile, you are responsible for all content included. Road-E does not pre-screen public content but reserves the right to remove any content that violates this AUP or our Terms of Service.
By publishing public content, you grant Road-E permission to display it to users who access your EPK link. You retain full ownership.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Remove or restrict specific content or features
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account without refund
- Report activity to law enforcement where required or appropriate
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action except in cases of serious, ongoing, or clear-cut violations where immediate action is necessary.
7. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that you believe violates this policy, please report it to us at support@road-e.com. We take reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here and, for material changes, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of Road-E after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
